About us

Project EURAXESS is one of the steps
of the Czech Republic to realize
recommandation of the European Commission
in Lisbon in 2000. It is our contribution
to strenghten European Research Area (ERA) aiming
to become one of the strongest world economies.

Network EURAXESS Czech Republic is a part
of European Services Network - EURAXESS
officialy founded 30 June 2004 in Paris. The European
network consists of more than 200 cooperating service
centres in 35 mainly European countries.

Network EURAXESS Czech Republic was created as a part of project
"Czech Mobility Centre" in the period 2005-2007. This project was funded
by the Sixth Framework Programme of the European Commission
and by the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic. Thus a network
of collaborating contact points was created in the regions of the Czech Republic.
Currently there are two Service centres in the Network (Prague and Brno)
and seven Local contact points. In the period 2008-2011 the Network is funded
by the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic on the basis of EUPRO programme.
