The Medway School of Pharmacy is a unique collaboration between the University of Greenwich and the University of Kent. The school is located at Chatham Maritime in Medway, Kent and has approximately 600 undergraduates and over 100 FTE postgraduates (including PhD’s).

We currently have a vacancy for two Teaching Support Technicians, to join our friendly team of eight technicians. The postholder will be working in the Science based laboratories. These include Chemistry, Drug Delivery, Biological Sciences, and Micro/Molecular Sciences.

The post is a full time, term time only, (30 weeks per annum). 

Applicants must have at least a BTEC or equivalent in a Science related subject, (Chemistry or a Biological field preferred). Applicants without the relevant qualification but with significant experience will be considered. 

The post holder will be expected to provide technical and teaching support to students studying a Pharmacy programme. They will be working in the Science laboratories supporting students in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science and Biological Science modules. Prospective candidates must have a good knowledge in their field of expertise. Candidates must have a willingness to learn new skills and be prepared to move between disciplines as the work dictates.
