Opportunities in Dairy Technology Research
The CareerFIT PLUS Programme is a career-development post-doctoral fellowship scheme, co-funded by Enterprise Ireland and Marie-Sklodowska Curie Actions. Career-FIT PLUS aims to enhance the training and mobility of Experienced Researchers through the undertaking of individually-driven, market-focused research projects, which will be centered around the domain areas of the designated Technology Centres and Technology Gateways in Ireland.
The Dairy Technology Processing Centre (DPTC) is an EI Technology Centre, and is a collaboration between 9 research performing organisations and 8 leading dairy industry partners.
The DPTC
The DPTC is hosted by the University of Limerick, and is funded by Enterprise Ireland and our Dairy Industry Partners.
The DPTC performs research focused on cost-efficient dairy processing, facilitating a step-change in environmental sustainability and creating, validating and commercialising a pipeline of science and technology-based manufacturing platforms for dairy ingredients.
Unique Career Development Opportunity for Researchers
36 month contract with one of our 9 research-performing organisations in Ireland, including a secondment of 6-12 months in industry, short placements in key international research laboratories and possibilities to travel to key commercial markets;

Career Fit Plus Process and Initial Requirements
Candidates should have experience of research in dairy technology, with publications in high-impact factor journals, and a high competency in English.

Selected applicants will prepare a submission in conjunction with a suitable academic mentor from the DPTC and specific industry secondment mentors.
Previous indicative success of application rates are approx. 50%.
