The selection procedure is open for all individuals, who meet the requirements set out in Articles 113 and 116.2.3) of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science, and who meet the following eligibility criteria according to § 165 of the Statute of the Jagiellonian University:
• holding at least a doctoral degree;
• having relevant scientific achievements;
• taking active part in scientific life.
The specific qualifications required are as follows:
1. A doctoral degree in natural sciences (PhD).
2. Co-authorship of scientific publications in the scope of the techniques listed below.
3. Documented experience in the scope of techniques necessary to implement the project, in particular:
a) knowledge of cell culture techniques, in particular hPSC
(human pluripotent stem cells), including iPSC differentiation into endothelial cells;
b) practical knowledge and experience in the CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing technique;
c) practical knowledge of microscopic techniques with software and automatic image analysis;
d) practical knowledge of flow cytometry techniques with software;
e) practical knowledge of cell biology and biochemical techniques (preferably knowledge of next-generation sequencing NGS techniques); basics of bioinformatics analyses.

The first stage of the selection procedure is the formal assessment of the submitted documents. Applications which meet all formal requirements are the subject of substantive assessment, during which an interview with the Candidate may be conducted (directly or via electronic communication channels), upon settling the date of the interview with the Candidate. During the interview, the soft competencies indicated in the announcement will also be verified. The Candidate has the right to appeal against the negative assessment by the selection board within 7 days from receiving the information about the results of the assessment.
