The Faculty Council of the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb (hereinafter: the PMF), pursuant to Articles 32(1)(19), 73 and 77 of the Faculty Statutes, announces the following:
C A L L F O R A P P L I C A T I O N S
for appointment
to the associate position of senior assistant in natural sciences, the field of chemistry, the branch of physical chemistry, for a fixed term and on a full-time basis, to work on the following Croatian Science Foundation project: HRZZ IP-2025-02-8238 Cyclopeptide complexes with functional ions, at the Division of Physical Chemistry of the PMF, Department of Chemistry – 1 person.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The Call is open to applicants of either gender on equal terms.
In addition to the general terms and conditions of employment, under all points of the Call the applicants must satisfy the requirements set out in the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette No 119/22).
Applicants under all points of the Call must enclose the following:
- a CV;
- the relevant diploma or certificate attesting to the required level of academic qualifications;
- a proof of nationality (a photocopy of the certificate of nationality or identity card).
Applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
- a PhD in the field of Natural Sciences (field of Chemistry), or the field of Technical Sciences (field of Chemical Engineering), or the field of Biomedicine and Health (field of Pharmacy), or the field of Biotechnical Sciences (field of Biotechnology).
Additional conditions:
- experience in working with instruments for the physical-chemical characterization of processes in solution and data processing, which must be proven by submitting relevant publications in scientific journals and/or theses and/or presentations at scientific conferences.
Foreign citizens are required to provide proof of proficiency in the Croatian language.
Along with their application, candidates are strictly required to submit evidence of meeting the additional requirements in accordance with the Ordinance on Additional Requirements for Election into Ranks and Corresponding Positions of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Science.
For the Call applicants who are granted priority in employment based on special regulations must refer to this right in their application, and attach therewith all evidence specified by special regulations for exercising the right to priority in employment, as well as evidence of eligibility or the absence of obstacles specified by special regulations for exercising the right to priority. Such applicants are granted priority in employment under this Call in relation to other candidates, under the same conditions set out herein, based on a duly completed, complete and timely application, provided that they meet all the conditions of the Call and that they have achieved the best result in the selection procedure.

An application shall be deemed duly completed and complete if it contains all the data and the supporting documents in keeping with the Call requirements. Incomplete, disorganised, and late applications shall not be taken into consideration, nor will there be a subsequent invitation to the applicants to amend such applications.
APPLICANT ASSESSMENT PROCEDURE:
Eligible applicants applying unof the Call may be invited to take part in an interview within the framework of the selection procedure.
Such applicants will receive a special e-mail invitation with the details of the time and the place of the interview.
Any applicants who fail to attend the interview within the selection procedure they were expected to take part in pursuant to the special e-mail invitation, shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Call proceedings.
The PMF collects and processes personal data of the applicants taking part in the Call for Applications for positions with the aim of verifying qualifications and eligibility in accordance with the Decision on the Collection, Protection and Processing of Personal Data (CLASSIFICATION No: 035-01/18-01/5; FILE No:251-58-10201-18-2).
The closing date for submission of applications for all points of the Callis 30days after publication of the Call in the Official Gazette.
