About the EDGE Fellowship Programme

EDGE is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie COFUND Action, led by Trinity College Dublin on behalf of 10 Irish academic institutions of excellence. EDGE awards fellowships to post-doctoral researchers with a passion for their subject and desire to become independent academics, who will relocate to Ireland to join expert supervisors in the ICT field (networks, data and materials) . In our 2nd call we may award up to 45 Fellowships, each 24-months duration.

EDGE Fellowships are for experienced researchers from any country, seeking a prestigious, career-building position in Ireland. EDGE aims to form a community of thought leaders in ICT, including developing skills to engage with industry - all the top 10 ICT companies are present here in Ireland.

EDGE is keen to encourage submissions from researchers in under-represented and disadvantaged groups. We are connected to networks such as WiSER (Women in Science, Engineering and Research) and Science4Refugees. If you require assistance, we have mechanisms to support you applying, so please get in touch.

EDGE Research themes:

  • Future Networks & Communications (the CONNECT Centre)

  • Advanced Materials & Bioengineering (the AMBER Centre)

  • Digital Content and Media Technologies (the ADAPT Centre)

For subtopics within these field, related to the supervisors, please see our website.
