Post-doctoral Fellow in the Cardiovascular Research/Genetic and Molecular Epidemiology in the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 531152)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate clinical studies and trials
  • Manage and analyse large clinical biobank datasets
  • Be exposed to ample opportunities in developing an academic career
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Sciences, Epidemiology, Biostatistics or related disciplines, preferably with at least 1 year of post-qualification experience
  • Experience in clinical research, epidemiological data analysis of large datasets using R and/or STATA
  • Strong Biomedical Science and quantitative background
  • Demonstrated abstract concepts in an accessible way to all organizational levels
  • Good communication and data visualization skills
  • Self-motivated, scientifically mature, attentive to details
  • Ability to acquire new biostatistical techniques by self-learning
  • Able to work independently and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficiency in Mendelian Randomization research is highly preferred
  • Laboratory skills, track records of publications and grants would be advantageous

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a temporary basis for 1 to 3 year(s), with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
